Education & Workforce Development Symposium 2012

Attention all educators and workforce development professionals!

EON Reality will be hosting the Education and Workforce Development (EWD) Symposium on Friday, May 4, 2012 at our Irvine, CA headquarters.

In response to the overwhelming positive response from our recent EON Experience Fest 2012, the EWD Symposium will highlight virtual reality technologies as they are currently being used within education and workforce development and will also explore new ways to create innovative, high-performance applications within various organizations.

EWD Symposium 2012 will also serve as a forum to address key methods to improve education and promote job creation within the global economy.  As many countries continue to recover from the effects of the global recession, high unemployment rates have produced large amounts of waste in intellectual resources and capital. The growing demands for skilled labor and professional work development, particularly in areas of 3D technology, have created promising opportunities for today’s unemployed workforce in the global 3D technology market, which is expected to reach $227.27 billion by 2016.

Join us on Friday, May 4 to learn more about the future of virtual reality and interactive 3D solutions and how they can be applied within your organization.  Registration is free, but closes on Friday, April 27, 2012.  Register today via email with “EWDSymposium” in the subject line and the following information:

EON Reality and iCTLT 2012

Throughout the iCTLT Conference, many of the attending education specialists and speakers, such as Richard DeLorenzo from Re-inventing Schools Coalition (RISC), emphasized the need for change in how we enable kids and students to engage in learning in the 21st century.

During the last 3 months we have experienced a significant growth in the interest in our solutions for Virtual 3D Learning, and we now have visitors from over 140 countries logged in to our Virtual 3D Learning portal at www.eonexperience.com . The amount of positive feedback during the event from some of the leading global education specialists is yet another proof that we are on the right path,” said Pontus Appelqvist, VP Sales Asia at EON Reality.

EON Reality’s R&D Director, Eng Tat Khoo spoke about use-cases of Interactive “3D Simulation based Learning” in Singapore, US and Africa and Managing Director Sridhar Sunkad took the opportunity to honor the winners of the “Woo & Wow” competition, Muhammad Khair Misran and Deng Wei from Republic Polytechnic. The “Woo & Wow” challenge was a 3D experiential product marketing campaign where contestants use EON Creator software to create a product advertisement. EON Creator is an easy-to-use eLearning authoring tool that integrates 3D concepts with the web, PowerPoint, videos, sounds, animations and more into complete, blended learning environments. The competition was held jointly with Republic Polytechnic. Republic Polytechnic became the first educational institution to complete a full lab set up at SEG school and testing partner of EON Experience portal and EON Creator.

EON Reality’s proud partners in Singapore education space, Ngee Ann Secondary School also participated. They demonstrated 3D interactive lessons made for Design & Technology and shared the benefits of Interactive 3D technology to other attendees during the event.

EON Reality Partners with CogniSens Athletics for Virtual Training Solutions for Athletes

IRVINE, Calif., January 4, 2012 – EON Reality, the world’s leading interactive 3D software provider, has partnered up with CogniSens Athletics to form cognitive training solutions for sports.  The solution, the NeuroTracker, improves athletic performance by increasing player situational awareness and improving action response time during gameplay.  The training starts off with basic multiple object tracking and progresses to full game like simulations.

NeuroTracker is an innovative perceptual-cognitive training system developed by CogniSens Athletics and delivered through EON Reality’s platforms. The technologies are supported by Dr. Jocelyn Faubert, a world leading neurophysicist.  NeuroTracker training improves an athlete’s perceptual-cognitive ability, allowing them to spread attention, deal with rapid optic flow, and process biological motion – all skills required of an elite athlete.

Current users of the NeuroTracker are New England Patriots, Oregon Football, Vancouver Canucks, and Manchester United among others.

“At the elite levels, athletes are on the same playing field with respect to their physical abilities.  What separates the average athlete from the good athlete, and the good athlete from the great athlete, is the mental game- both in preparation and reaction.  Cognitive training helps the athlete recognize what the opponent is doing, and to be one step ahead.  Simulation allows the athlete to not only prepare better, but accelerate experience. These technologies will change how teams develop their athletes and how athletes prepare for competition. ” said Brendan Reilly, Director of EON Sports.

Training the brain, adding motor skills, and graduating to a fully-immersive virtual environment is quickly becoming the future of high-level sport science.
